 So last week I was without internet for 2 entire days. I know, I know, cue dramatic music. It was a very real problem for me, and my 17-year-old, it was like we were being denied oxygen.
I spent the first day checking and re-checking the status of the outage using my data, every half an hour, in the hope I would be magically be re-connected and breathing restored. Being the tech wizard I am (not), I turned if off at the source and reset the modem, had a few flashing lights but no signal.
